Fitness with a family
Being active is a major part of not only my life, but it's a part of my family's life! When I head to the gym to do my workout, Chris is right there with me, kids in tow. We crank up the music, and as they do have a play room which is adjacent to our little basement gym, the little ones usually end up right there with us during our workouts! In between sets and exercises, we usually include them in some fun activities or try to teach them our workouts. There really is no better warm-up or cool-down than a disco dance party, or a few silly games of Duck-Duck-Goose and Ring around the Rosie!
When we get to take our workouts outside (running for example), we usually take the kids on their bikes (or Joe in his jogging stroller) and again, they’re right there with us! We would really have it no other way! As Chris and I are so grateful for our health and theirs, we are raising our children to know the importance of forming the best, healthy habits!
